My concern with the floating button is whether it drives away more return visitors than it’s worth. On my big sites, I make my real money from return visitors, and I’d hate to drive them away because I annoyed them with something that some might find obtrusive. It doesn’t bother me, but I can see some viewing it as a pop of some type.

Personally I find them annoying, and while I have clicked on interesting adsense ads I don’t think I have ever clicked on one of those floating ones except to close them.

Even though I have been known to click on adsense ads I have never clicked on the floating variety except to close them as I find them annoying. Still I can’t blame you for trying anything new that comes along.

  5. From a personal standpoint the floating button is very annoying to me. It reminds me of pop up type things which are usually spammy junk.

  6. Yeah, I must agree with the others, I found the floating button to be pretty annoying and objectionable. Have you noticed a discernable difference since making use of it?

So far I only have used it on this blog and no… I don’t see big difference. I believe it’s more like for those so called Sale Pages…
