MyBlogLog and Yahoo

The first feeling when I tried login to MyBlogLog today was that I live in some darkside LOL. In fact I just didn’t logged for week or a bit more but already tons of news there! Imagine how surprised I was when saw that MyBlogLog is now under Yahoo service…
MyBlogLog now supports Yahoo IDs. The highlights:
- Fancy new image uploader for userpics
- Userpics hosted on Yahoo’s global image cache = faster performance on your widgets
- Update your screen name by yourself, it’s now called a nickname
- Your nickname is the same across several Yahoo sites
- Share optional info such as your age, gender, and location across Yahoo
- One less password to remember
In order to merge your account, you need to either edit your profile or logout and log back in. This will drop you into the merge process which is real quick. Because the Yahoo image cache supports high-resolution images, you’ll need to re-upload your userpic so have a nice photo ready beforehand.
Uhh… right now I don’t understand yet do I like these changes or no… I already have and Yahoo account so there was no problem to update my MyBlogLog account, but what if I would need now join Yahoo first to use MyBlogLog? Then it’s one MORE password to remember, not less, right?
And what are your opinions about this change?
