I saw some projects “bloggers helping bloggers” like Technorati on some blogs and I’m thinking about joining those as well but today I found something fresh – “StumbleUpon” project which is going on Ian Fernando’s Blog.

I am going to run same idea on this blog. It is a project in 2 parts.

Part 1: Favorite my Blog and this Post

  1. Leave a comment (rating) about this post.
  2. Favorite my Blog (you will need submit small review, few fords or sentences are ok). Once you favorite my blog through StumbleUpon I will do the same (within 24-48 h after your comment here).
  3. Add me as a friend, my username on StumbleUpon is IngaOz, within your network (so you can check my favorites easily to see that I’ve favorite your blog or site). Then please post a comment here and let me know link to your site and Your StumbleUpon link, so I can add you to my friends as well.

Part 2: StumbleUpon Project Exchange

This is only for bloggers who are interested in holding a StumbleUpon Project Exchange on their blogs.

Create a post on your blog announcing that you are participating in a StumbleUpon Exchange Project. Include a link to this post to indicate that there is a similar exchange going on at NiggyBuzz Blog. You can use any link text you want.

You can copy the direction or modify it as you wish to fit your blog if necessary.

Then please submit comment here with link to your post and I’ll include a link to it on a separate post I will be creating after a week of testing this new project.

Main Goal

The goal of this exchange project is to simply see if StumbleUpon is really a great traffic generator than the other social bookmarking sites.

The Blog for a Year competition is an experiment in social sponsorship.

Blog for a Year awards one winner a year-long contract to blog full time on a blog of his or her own choosing. The award is funded by donations from participants and sponsors. Even if you don’t win, it’s a great way to have your blog discovered by thousands of other people who may not normally find it.

How does it work?

The rules are simple: anyone who would like can enter the competition. All you need to do is create a profile on this site, donate to the Blogger Fund, and start collecting votes for your profile. The competition will end when the Blogger Fund reaches $160,000 or Jan 1, 2008, whichever comes first. In either case, when the competition ends, the person will the most votes will be offered the job.

What will the winner receive?

The winning blogger will be offered a contract to work on his or her own blog full time for one year. The blogger will be paid $80,000 in even bi-weekly installments, just like a regular paycheck.

This competition is for you to work on your blog. You can blog about any topic you want. In fact, when you sign up, you are asked to link to the blog you want to promote.

Why a competition?

A competition is great for everyone involved. Anyone who can collect the most votes on a site like this has a pretty good chance of making a go of it. Second, a competition will give exposure to other bloggers, even those who don’t win. Finally, a competition helps to raise the funds needed to pay the blogger.

Can You really win this?

Sure you can! Collecting votes is really easy. All you need to do is ask people who read your blog, friends, and family to visit your entry on this site and vote for you. They can vote once per day, so keep them coming back.

Even if you don’t win the job offer, entering the competition is a great way to promote your blog. People who visit this site are interested to learn about the bloggers who enter. Use this to help you get your blog off the ground, even if you don’t get the offer.

Ready to get started? If you would like to get paid to blog full time, enter the competition today!

Help me Blog For A Year! Please, Vote!

Thank you! :)
