Update Your Blogs and Blog About Christmas

It’s time to update our blog or blogs!
The end of Year is coming, so it’s the best time to update and clean your blogs. At least – I am going to do this with my blogs. The plan is:
- Recalculate which Affiliate programs works and which ones not works for me,
- Clean blogs from useless ads,
- Update writing in my posts – now when I have the WhiteSmoke program, I believe that I can write much better (yeah, sadly English is not my primary language, and I was very lazy student…) ,
- Update categories – I have too many categories for each blog. I suppose 7, maximum 10 categories are enough and with a new Tag system in WordPress blogs we now can use tags to describe subjects of the post more deeply,
- Update posts by deleting useless ones (ex., like those which was written for Affiliate programs where I am not a member anymore) and adding updates and/or tips like I already did with my post about WhiteSmoke,
Blog About Christmas!
Of course, it’s the best time to blog about Christmas and earn some $$$ while doing this. Actually, I absolutely forgot about this kind of action until read Garry Conn’s post “Are You Blogging About Christmas?”, thank you, Garry! Garry is so very right (again!). I love his blog and visit it often, believe or no, but every time I go there, I see something to learn from.
So, for this reason (blogging about Christmas, not loving Garry’s Blog 
) Yesterday I’ve worked on my new project called BOS: Seasons – Make This Christmas Special (tag line will be changed as season changes). Mainly there will be best offers around of the Internet to get best gifts and gift ideas for the ones you love. That blog is not completed (how it could, lol, I only worked 1 day on it), but I am working on that, and as Mr. Garry Conn said:
“A bad blog about Christmas is better than NO blog about Christmas”.
Moreover, I don’t think that BOS: Seasons will be the worst blog around, it will become better and better with every day and every new season!
Update on Dec 2, 2008 – I moved everything from sub-blog to main, called Best Online Stuff, so my readers can find all kind of deals there, not only seasonal ones.

Great idea. I have gone through and removed a lot of the affiliate programs that are not performing. I also tried to trim things up to improve page load time.

And tweak your blog loading times and small css mistakes.. For example the menu on the right is broken because your hover links are in bold which can cause the item to spread to one more line.

With bold link you are talking about that hover links are bold but and other not or about Site Navigation (Top) bar?
As about flags, browser and PS buttons, they come with very nice plugin called FireStats. Very nice and useful plugin

I also try to add tab to my sidebar. But i really can’t find any method to do. Cound any1 suggest me a method? Izzit a javascript or CSS effect?

I think it’s something with creating new php file and then styling it via css, but not sure, because it didn’t work for me (I tried use files from that blog where that nice tabled sidebar thing works). So I am too looking if someone can help me here, if no – then I’ll probably start using bloggers’ forums LOL.

That is some good tips. ya christmas is on the way. we need to be learn how to ‘behave’ ourself during this kind of holiday season. since we are online to make money then we need to adjust our behavior once online. definitely we won’t make it at first but experience make us better.

Christmas marks a really good time to step up your affiliate marketing efforts. With that being said, go create a site or blog that can score you some extra cash this holiday!

Sure you can! For first – I am the big fan of stats, all kinds of those…
And I found this plugin on my blogging friend’s blog, it looked so cute, so I wanted it too! 
Plus, I always have problems with themes in IE and want to know exactly, how big % of readers is using Firefox and IE.

I believed that most of the browser’s user find Firefox is the best..For me, IE was the best before, and Firefox is better (as per now
)But it’s up to the readers to choose which best for them.
